Education & Background
Dr. James Yap Thai Huah graduated from the prestigious University of Otago in New Zealand with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (with Credit) and was awarded the Sir John Walsh Research Institute Summer Research Scholarship for his academic and research excellence, and is a specially invited committee member of the MoH backed Singapore Dental Sleep Medicine Research and Training Advisory Group.
Drawing on his broad experience from community-based private clinics and various hospitals across New Zealand, Dr. Yap brings a wealth of clinical expertise to his practice. In Singapore, he has worked in both high-end boutique clinics along Orchard Road and heartland HDB practices, giving him a deep appreciation and understanding of patients from all walks of life.
During his time in New Zealand, Dr. Yap was actively involved in clinical research in forensic dentistry and prosthodontics. He has also volunteered his time for numerous dental outreach projects across the Asia-Pacific region, including Singapore, New Zealand, and Rarotonga in the South Pacific, reflecting his commitment to community service and global oral health.
